The Battery Atlanta Announces New Tenants

The Battery Atlanta If you’ve driven by the site of the new Brave’s stadium, you might’ve noticed all of the construction, and more importantly, the progress. Almost as exciting as the Brave’s coming OTP are the surrounding restaurants and retail that are quickly signing leases to be a part of The Battery Atlanta, the mixed-use park adjacent to the Sun Trust Park.

The Marietta Daily Journal stated there are eight tenants set to be completed by opening day in 2017, according to the Braves and retail partner Fuqua Development. Among the committed tenants are:

  Wahlburgers, a fast growing, chef-driven burger concept from the Wahlberg brothers of TV and movie Fame

  Kings Bowl, an upscale, retro bowling and entertainment destination;

  Live!, an iconic dining/entertainment destination developed by The Cordish Companies and designed by Jeffrey Beers International;

  Goldbergs Bagel Company & Deli, an Atlanta favorite for bagels and sandwiches;

  Mountain High Outfitters, an outdoor specialty store;

  Sugarboo Designs, an artsy boutique with household items and gifts;

  DressUp, a women’s fashion boutique;

  Harley-Davidson, with a retail-only store.

Battery Atlanta earns bragging rights, scoring the first Wahlburger’s and Kings Bowl to open in Georgia. Wahlburgers announced previously that they would be expanding to Georgia but had not given an exact location. According to Mark Wahlberg, “We think The Battery Atlanta will be the absolute destination around the Atlanta area with the new park and all the other things they’ll have in that development, which is so exciting to me,” the actor and owner stated. “For our family, it’s a great opportunity to be at The Battery Atlanta, so we’re thrilled.” So are we, Mr. Wahlburg!

The Battery Atlanta

The blend of retail and restaurants will provide an atmosphere that can thrive 24/7, 365 days a year.

Fuqua Development Principal Jeff Fuqua said more announcements are yet to come.

The Battery Atlanta is being developed by Cordish Companies, which is customizing the area for the Braves. In addition to the retail and restaurant tenants, Cordish is building a two-story Sports & Social Club that will feature a 40-foot diagonal, high-definition LED screen as a backdrop for social games and activities throughout the venue that also will include PBR Bar & Grill (branded for Professional Bull Riders Association) and an acclaimed chef-driven concept to be announced at a later date.

The Sports & Social Club

The Battery Atlanta will also include several other chef-driven restaurants that were announced last year, including Antico Pizza, CRÚ Food and Wine Bar, Tomahawk Taproom featuring Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, El Felix from Chef Ford Fry and a steak house concept by Chef Linton Hopkins. The Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre, a music venue, and the Omni Hotel, also will open at the Braves’ mixed-use development at SunTrust Park.
