The Atlanta Braves announced the first round of restaurants that will be coming to the entertainment complex next to the new ballpark in Cobb County.
The $400 million dollar development, called “the Battery” will be home to Antico Pizza, Cru Food and Wine Bar, the Tomahawk Taproom featuring Fox Bros. Barbecue, Chef Ford Fry’s Superica, and a new steak concept by Chef Linton Hopkins.
Construction will be starting soon on the complex. As of yet, no retailers have been announced for the complex, but the developers are seeking higher end women’s apparel stores and a grocery store. The mix of chef-driven restaurants and retail are what will drive people to the mixed-use development throughout the year, and not just for the 81 ball games that will be played. A concert venue and hotel had previously been announced.
Braves marketing chief Derek Schiller states: “It will be a destination in Atlanta unlike anything else in the South.” We know we can’t wait to see it!
