It’s that time of year where the hustle of the holiday season is over, but the weather outside may still be frightful. If you start to hear, “I’m bored,” Scoop OTP has suggestions of some great Forced Family Fun indoor activities.
A new party place opened in Woodstock last year called The Pampered Peacock. They specialize in “girly” activities including mani/pedis (my dry hands need their paraffin wax treatment!), makeup, hair, dress up, and more.
They host parties for children, tweens, teens, and adults at their beautiful free-standing store located at 7031 Main St. You can call them at 678-540-7601. This could be the perfect ladies night out or a younger girl’s day in to fight off the dreary winter weather. The ideas are endless, and you can even bring your own wine and food to their event location. Your little ones will love their Frozen party on 1/17-1/19 with character performances.
The Pampered Peacock owners told us about War Games Atlanta located in Roswell. She just had her son’s birthday party there and said it was great! I can see my husband and teenagers all over this “realistic” laser tag venue. You must be 8 or older to participate. If you find your little ones (or yourself) with extra time on your hands this time of year, why not try music or art lessons? Play Music and Art! in the Hickory Flat area offers quality art classes and music lessons. They specialize in music lessons for beginners. Classes are offered 6 days a week, and there are no contracts; they want you to be there because you want to learn. They also offer a variety of art, sculpting, and painting classes for all ages, so you can tap into your creative side.

If you have kids who are bouncing off the walls, you can reserve an hour or two to play some indoor basketball or volleyball at The Blitz in Canton. Another fun Scoop Approved place to check out is Escalade Rock Climbing Center in Kennesaw. It boasts one of the largest boulder walls in Atlanta.
