This craft place has tons of different ceramics for you to choose to decorate, including tableware and holiday ornaments. I think we spent about 20 minutes trying to decide what to choose!

In the end, my son chose a dragon to paint, my daughter chose a pink cancer ribbon, and I chose a square tile.

The price of the piece you choose includes all supplies used to paint it at the store, and there is no fee to sit and paint. So you can stay as long as you like!

My children and I even brought our lunch with us and ate while we painted! In fact, their tag line sums up our experience perfectly: Relax – Create – Enjoy.  You will be awed at some of the creations that can be done. Check out their Facebook page for examples.

If you don’t have time to finish painting your piece in one sitting, you are free to come back to finish it another day. All Fired Up provides various paint colors, brushes, templates, and books to help you create your masterpiece.

I have never painted a ceramic object in my life (except maybe in grade school), so I was hesitant to try my hand at it. But the store employee gave us simple yet detailed instructions, and I felt I could handle the task!

When I picked up our artwork, I was amazed at how much the firing brought out the bright colors and made our pieces shine! From what I understand, the firing process also makes tableware microwave and dishwasher safe.

The ceramics range in price from $5.00 to $100.00, but most pieces cost between $16.00 and $35.00. Glass art is also offered, and you may sign up for birthday parties or classes if you wish. Find out more information on their website.

OTP has other similar paint-it-yourself ceramic shops, such as Just Fired in Kennesaw and Just Kiln Time in Marietta if those are closer to you, I just haven’t been to them yet. So, try your hand at painting ceramics, and tell them Scoop sent you! They have offers a variety of  classes and are great for birthday parties too.
