In the last 100 years, Atlanta has only experienced one professional sports championship: the 1995 Braves winning the World Series. And while growing up in Cleveland I can relate to this all too well, I can also appreciate the city wide excitement building this week over the possibility of emerging as champions — especially over the Patriots (Sorry New England Fans).
This battle is more than just about football: one local gas station halted sales of Boston’s famous Sam Adams Beer. 
Atlanta’s own Sublime Donuts and Boston’s Kane’s Donuts have a friendly wager too, and are asking Falcons Fans to leave a score prediction in the Facebook comment section for a chance to win a dozen doughnuts. Check with your local donut shop to see if you can pick up some decorated Falcon themed donuts to kick off Sunday morning.
