Yet another Valentine’s Day is creeping up on us, and before you know it, you are going to be rushing to find just the right gift or come up with a reservation for dinner.
With Cupid’s big day falling on a Friday this year, you’re safe to bet that more folks will be trying to go out with their significant others. My advice: Book your reservations early if you don’t want to be disappointed. My next piece of advice: Get some yummy to-go food and stay in! Yoon Sushi and Roswell Provisions are some great options that we love for to-go food.
Bonus: Several of the Oscar nominated movies are out on pay per view now, so why not just have a lovely dinner at home? We aren’t saying don’t go out, but you will have to plan ahead if you do!
Or you could really mix things up and celebrate a week early. This Saturday and Sunday Howlpharetta will be giving its famous Ghost Tours of Alpharetta. It doesn’t have to be all lovey-dovey to be romantic!
Another safe bet would be to meet up for lunch and beat the crowd. Trackside Grille in Kennesaw, The Mill Kitchen and Bar in Roswell, and Freight in downtown Woodstock all have generous lunch menus that feel more like dinner and will leave you happy that you went out early.
If you exchange gifts for Valentine’s Day, you can’t go wrong with any of Scoop’s Retail Therapy suggestions. For the sweet tooth valentine, you can’t get any better than M Chocolat in Alpharetta or the Chocolaterie in Cumming. Your loved one will not be disappointed! Whatever you do, don’t end up like this guy. Check our website for more suggestions! And Happy Valentine’s Day.
