Trackside Grill

Trackside Trackside Grill is located in historic downtown Kennesaw, right near the railroad tracks that its name so aptly represents. Both the patio with its great stonework and the large bar area are inviting with a relaxed atmosphere. Throw in some live music that they offer Trackside Live Musicregularly, and you’ll want to settle in for awhile.

The drinks were served in large mason jars, and Scoop OTP is a sucker for those unique twists in a restaurant. It completely sets the mood for your dining experience, which is to relax and enjoy the moment! Their tagline of “New South Flavor and Old South Charm” is perfectly represented in their menu selection.

I’ve only had lunch there, but other Scoopers tell me they enjoy the dinner scene and menu options as well. Known for their southern flair of traditional American cuisine, you can enjoy pimento crusted filet mignon, buttermilk fried chicken, fried green tomato BLT, or craw fish skillet, and then splurge for some banana bread pudding with caramel for dessert. As usual, I opted for their chicken salad over mixed greens. Yummy!

Craw Fish SkilletFried Green Tomato BLTHere’s a Scoop tip: If you’re in the mood to go see a movie, they have a dinner and movie special for $37 in conjunction with NCG Movie Cinemas. Click here for details.

Scoop loves that the owners Brett and Laura Olszeski are vested in the restaurant since they are longtime Kennesaw residents. Celebrating ten years of “made from scratch food” has served them well, as their great reputation is what led us to Scoop them out!

Don’t be surprised if the parking lot is full and you have to find a spot near the Southern Museum, but it is worth the small walk to enjoy a great meal.
