It’s against Scoop policy to highlight chains of any sort, but sometimes we have to bend the rules a little — like when a cool new chain opens up at a location OTP. And that cool new chain is Which Wich Superior Sandwiches.
I happened to find a Which Wich while in Birmingham for a lacrosse tournament. I am admittedly not a big sandwich eater, but this place was great. A month later, I was pleasantly surprised to see one opening in Canton!
Which Wich was created by Jeff Sinelli, who found himself frustrated with existing chain sandwich shops. His goal was to create a fresh and edgy sandwich shop with superior ingredients. Which Wich offers many of your traditional sandwich selections, while putting a spin on some of them too. Their “Thank You Turkey,” a turkey sandwich with stuffing and cranberry sauce, is outstanding.
The menu is endless and full of options, making your decision that much more difficult. Breakfast, Comfort, and Classics are all options, including “The Elvis,” which I really need to try on my next visit. There are also several vegetarian options, and a 400 calorie and under menu for the health conscience.
Which Wich is a fast-casual eatery, which means it will not be fancy, but it will be fun. The ordering process is part of the experience. Each person grabs their own brown bag that is pre-printed with the menu on it. Red Sharpies are provided to mark your choices — even the specifics — on your bag.
Which Wich has “extras” that are also superior to competitors. Their house-made chips (vs. a pre-made brand) are as tasty as chips I’ve had in much nicer restaurants. I even brought them home with me because I couldn’t bear to throw them out! They also have hand-dipped milkshakes that were yummy too.
