More mixed use development is coming, and this time it’s in Historic Roswell. The Atlanta Business Chronicle reported that Canton Place (the project orchestrated by Canton Place Development LCC) is going in front of the Roswell City Council and the Roswell Planning Commission on June 10th and 20th respectively.
Canton Place would be located at 37 Magnolia Street; Wells Fargo Bank would relocate. Phase One of the project could break ground before the end of the year with a projected opening in Fall of 2018. The 20,000 SF space in Phase One would include the relocated bank, a restaurant, a coffee shop and event space.
Phase Two would include the boutique hotel. Brands under consideration for the hotel have not been released yet, but planners are looking at a boutique style. The hotel would be a practical fit for downtown Roswell with its many event and wedding venues. They are aiming for a late 2019 opening for the hotel.
