MOD Pizza Opening Today

Update: The AJC reported that Mod Pizza will open its doors today at noon. Mod Pizza, located at 1945 Cobb Parkway in Kennesaw, is the first in the Atlanta area. In honor of their grand opening, Mod will be giving away free pizzas to the first 52 visitors today. Additionally, MOD is donating all proceeds from pizza sales today to Covenant House Georgia, which provides shelter and services to Atlanta’s homeless youth.

Are you ready for another new “create your own pizza?” According to Tomorrow’s News Today, MOD Pizza has selected Kennesaw to launch its brand; which stands for “made on demand.”

Based out of Seattle, MOD Pizza has signed its first Atlanta area lease.  MOD Pizza will open in Kennesaw at Kennesaw Marketplace, at the corner of Cobb and Barrett Parkways.  So, get ready to create your own individual artisan-style pizza or salad. They offer 30+ toppings with one set price. The most common size is 11″, but they offer a smaller 6″ inch size too.  They also offer a gluten free crust option for an upcharge. Stay tuned for their opening date.

With the addition of a pizza restaurant to Newk’s Eatery, Burger 21, Smoothie King, Freddy’s Custard and more; there will be a variety of choices to eat. Now, if only the Whole Foods (possibly the most anticipated and slowest opening of a grocery store) will just open!

We are not sure why, perhaps it is the Kennesaw college students, but many OTP restaurants enter the Atlanta market in Kennesaw; such as Little Greek Fresh Grill and Capriotti’s.
