Update: Newk’s Eatery will be opening at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 18th and they have an offer on their Facebook page for free tastings this week. They offer a few different times and dates but make sure you click on the Canton link and not Columbus.

The Canton Exchange with anchor tenants of HomeGoods, Hobby Lobby, and Planet Fitness will now add some eateries to the mix; all planned for fall of 2017. Kim Dart of Dart Retail Advisors confirmed with us that Newk’s Eatery and Dunkin’ Donuts will be tenants in the Canton Exchange.  The Canton Exchange will be built on Cumming Highway and Commerce Drive, across from the Canton Marketplace with anchor tenants Super Target and Dicks Sporting Goods.  We also confirmed that a Tropical Smoothie cafe will be in this plaza too, as Tomorrow New’s Today said that’s their logo next the Sprint store and this store is now listed under their coming soon locations.

Growth of this area is in part due to the new 300 acre 84 bed Cherokee Hospital that is opening in early May.

Newk’s Eatery recently opened in the Kennesaw Marketplace, home to a future Whole Foods.  Originally from Mississippi, this chain is known for their diverse menu made just for you: fresh-tossed salads, artisan pizzas, specialty toasted sandwiches, kettle batch soups and desserts.

Dunkin Donuts has two Canton locations already, both on Marietta Highway.  These restaurants will be to the right of the Verizon store and a new Race Trac gas station. The Dunkin Donuts will also serve Baskin Robbins ice cream.  Dunkin Donuts corporate confirmed a projected opening of Spring 2017.

Tropical Smoothie Café’s menu boasts bold, flavorful food and smoothies with a healthy appeal. Their food and smoothies are made to order with fresh ingredients. They have toasted wraps, bistro sandwiches, grilled flatbreads, and gourmet salads.

Here you can see the placement of the restaurants in the development; to the far right of Race Trac and Verizon on Cumming Highway and Commerce Drive.

Downtown Canton is also adding some unique independent restaurants, including Queenies Southern Restaurant, Local on North, and Steep Tea House.
