Chain Restaurants New To The Area

Several chain restaurants that are popular in other states or even other Georgia cities are coming OTP. Thanks to Tomorrow’s News Today for keeping us in the loop!

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers plans to open their ninth Georgia restaurant February 23rd in West Cobb. The new restaurant will open in a newly constructed freestanding building in the new Parkside West Cobb shopping center. The center, anchored by the newly opened Sprouts Farmers Market, is located on Dallas Highway, adjacent to the Avenue West Cobb. A Freddy’s opened in November at Kennesaw Marketplace, and other locations across Atlanta opened last year.

Cook Out is now open on Cobb Parkway across from the Big Chicken. The North Carolina based chain now has over 20 locations open in Georgia with new restaurants planned for Warner Robins, Winder and Macon. It is referred to as the Cook Out Big Chicken to capitalize on Cobb’s famous landmark, which is currently being renovated.

Just in time for the Braves opening season, Bonefish Grill plans to open their new Cumberland area restaurant Monday, February 6th at Akers Mill Square. Bonefish grill made the 20 Best Chain Restaurants list by Business Insider.

Also, a new Chuy’s is expected to open adjacent to Grub Burger Bar, also in Akers Mill, in late February.

Culver’s officially opened in the Hickory Flat area of Canton.

Last year, Kennesaw gained first time chains:  Little Greek Fresh Grill & Capriottis and now Newks has opened in the area.

We love to promote independent restaurants by local chefs, but we get excited when a fast casual restaurant comes into town, too!
