Escape to Chateau Elan

If dealing with the airport isn’t your idea of fun, but you still want to have that exciting “getaway” feeling, Chateau Elan is in OTP’s backyard, right up Highway 85 in Braselton. This is a perfect escape for a romantic weekend. They have special pricing and packages throughout the year, but the quality experience is worth the splurge.

My husband and I went last April for a few days while our children were with the grandparents over Spring Break. He had a few work meetings that he couldn’t miss, and I didn’t mind because I slept late and enjoyed the spa on those days. We played golf together, hiked along the trails, wandered around the wine store, ate at all of the restaurants on site. We really enjoyed their fancy restaurant Le Clos, and their more casual Irish Pub Paddy’s. We ended the evenings at the classy but relaxed upstairs sport’s bar L’Auberge. We loved the saxophone music by Melvin Banks there.

I love Chateau Elan’s website with their play on the letter “E.”  Their titles are listed as Events, Escape, Euphoria, Energize, Epicurean, & Estates. Check out each tab to book the package that interests you.

And they’re always hosting special events  such as antique car shows, perfume making classes, wine tastings, cooking lessons, horse shows and more. This location is also beautiful for weddings, baby showers, or business meetings too.

Sometimes, you don’t need to go far away to escape. Chateau Elan is a great place to reconnect away from the normal day-to-day functions of your own house and lifestyle. That’s the romantic scoop!
