Update 12-14 -the store Southern Charm Boutique is already closed, but Indigo and Oak is thriving!
I know the saying “less is more”…but in the case of cute boutiques in an adorable downtown suburb, more is definitely more. Canton is home to the very popular B.Loved boutique, but now two more clothing stores have opened to entice fashionistas to come shop in the little town.
Indigo and Oak opened a few months ago by a local mother-daughter team. The store is full of the latest trends in fashion, accessories and home décor.
Check out the super cute little wine tag I picked up, just in time for Thanksgiving!
Being in an old building lends to such unique character, which brings out the store’s rustic design, with a touch of Bohemia. Clothing was very fairly priced, and sizes were aplenty. There was a nice clearance rack in the back too; a must-see for me every time. Indigo and Oak also has an online store where you can order custom furniture and décor pieces made from reclaimed wood.
Just next door to Indigo and Oak is the Southern Charm Boutique, which just moved to Downtown Canton this summer from Ball Ground. With their variety of denim, lace, leather and pearls, Southern Charm Boutique is a perfect mix of country and class.
Especially popular with the younger girls are the sorority-style t-shirts by Southern Doe. There are plenty of Doe and Deer emblazoned apparel at Southern Charm, which is perfect if you are a country girl! They also have a unique selection of handbags that are made or repurposed military bags.
As with all the small, independent boutiques we visit, both of these new stores were very friendly, happy to talk about their products and more than happy to gift wrap even the smallest of packages. That’s why we love to shop local! Stop in at these two new businesses in Canton, and tell them Scoop sent you!
Indigo and Oak is located at 186 North Street in Canton, and Southern Charm Boutique is located at 182 North Street in Canton.
