To kick off the month of May, there are many exciting events around town starting tonight and going through Monday evening.

Alpharetta:

Taste of Alpharetta: Tonight, May 2nd starting at 5pm. Taste of Alpharetta has become an annual tradition for festival goers, families and food connoisseurs. Mark your calendars to dine in Historic Downtown Alpharetta at more than 60 restaurants in one fun night. Sample delicious appetizers, entrees and desserts from the top chefs in town. Enjoy culinary demonstrations, activities for all ages and entertainment to please every palate. Admission is free, you may purchase food tickets on site at our ticket booths for $.50 each. Avalon: Kentucky Derby Party! You’re invited to celebrate the Derby in style at our award-winning Kentucky Derby Party! We will transform the Plaza into a glamorous party with a jumbo viewing screen to watch the race, place your bets, and enjoy live music performances. So put on your fancy hats and bowties, grab a Mint Julep, and let the fun begin! For more details visit their website.

Canton:

First Friday: Join us for the party in Downtown Canton with live music, car shows, food trucks, local shopping, & all that Downtown Canton has to offer! Every First Friday through October, from 6 to 9pm in Downtown Canton. May 3 has live music by The Return.

Canton Festival of the Arts: May 4th and 5th from 10-5 at Brown Park. Enjoy food, beverage and live entertainment at the 16th annual Canton Art Festival! 

Kennesaw:

Food Trucks: The 2019 Farmers Market and Dinner at the Depot season begins Monday, May 6! A stellar lineup for opening night, including Tom & Chee, The Royal Pig BBQ, C’est Tout Bon 2 Eat and Cousins Maine Lobster with dessert by Kona Ice. Entertainment provided Chase Nixon. Plus – they will have BEER at Dinner At The Depot this season! Its official… The Burnt Hickory Brewery ‘REVIVAL’ and Dry County Brewing Company ‘NEON NEON’ on-tap. Monday May 6th from 5:30-8:30pm

Marietta:

Art Walk: First Friday Square Art Walk is a free self-guided walking tour that celebrates the vitality of Marietta’s diverse cultural Arts scene, showcasing local artists and performers along sidewalks throughout the Marietta Square. The evening comes alive as performance, dance, and visual art permeate every corner of the charming Historic Marietta Square.

Roswell:

Family Dog Festival: Bring your furry friend to have some fun at this free event! Activities include a scavenger hunt, paw printing station, “pup”-arrazi photo booth, and more! The Greater Atlanta Dog & Disc Club will be performing! Showtimes at 11am & 1pm. For more details visit: Family Dog Festival.

Riverside Sounds: Seth Walker is the feature performer. This series of six free, outdoor concerts is held at Riverside Park, 575 Riverside Road, on the first Saturday of the month from May to October. Concerts start at 7 p.m. Beer, wine and sangria will be available for purchase at each concert, as well as various food and snack options (until sold-out).

Woodstock:

Friday Night Live: Star Wars Costume Contest at Friday Night Live “Star Wars Night” this Friday, May 3rd, 6pm to 9pm, in Downtown Woodstock! Presented by Reformation Brewery.

Trailfest: This Saturday, May 4th, 230pm-830pm on the Elm Street Event Green in Downtown Woodstock. Trailfest is a community party to celebrate outdoor adventures. Proceeds benefit the Greenprints Alliance. Live music, food trucks, outdoor activities, and more! EVENT IS FREE TO ATTEND! Presented by Path & Post Real Estate.
