Salud Scoop OTPDid you know that Salud! Cooking School is located inside both John’s Creek and Avalon in Alpharetta’s Whole Foods stores? They have demonstrations, hands-on cooking, wine classes, children’s classes, speciality cooking and more.

We haven’t been to Salud yet, so this article is just to share the Scoop that this cooking school exists. I have spoken to Avalon’s cooking school specialist Shannon Marsh several times, and am impressed with the mix of classes Salud offers. If you are new to the kitchen or want to sharpen your culinary skills, check out Salud! Personally, I think it would be a great night out with a spouse or friends.

This is a great opportunity to meet some of Georgia’s most exciting chefs, artisans and authors. The instructional kitchen offers affordable, recreational culinary education for all ages.

You can enjoy  experimenting with Indian, Greek, and French cooking styles and foods. They even have a seafood technique 101 class.  There are so many interesting choices that it may be hard to decide! You can perfect your knife skills or learn how to cook with herbs. I am not a great cook, so any and all of these sound wonderful to me!
