My 15 year-old son and his friends are very much into paintball games. They love nothing better than putting on their “battle” gear and developing strategies to outwit their opponents. The more paint you get on someone, the better!
As a plus for me, they are able to let loose some of their pent-up energy for a half day or full day of fun. On a secret note, parents like to play, too!
My son and his friends’ favorite place to play is Paintball Atlanta. This facility has seven different outdoor fields with lots of grass and shade — as opposed to the standard “concrete jungles” of some places. Beginners and novices will feel welcome here, as referees are on site to ensure safety, fair play and non-stop fun!
Their website says they are the largest and longest running field in the southeast and one of the top ten fields in the country!
If you don’t have your own equipment, you can rent all the equipment you will need at the fields. The rental packages include a semi-auto paintball marker, full face mask and goggles, air and field fee.
Paintballs are included in the half-day price; otherwise, you need to purchase paint balls. If you do have your own equipment, please note that you still must purchase your paintballs at Paintball Atlanta, as they use high-quality paint that washes out of clothes!
Paintball Atlanta has a minimum age requirement of 11 years, and all minors under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver.
The facility is open Saturdays and Sundays for both open play and reserved play. Please note that their retail store is located separately from the play fields, so make sure you look at their website for directions.
Have fun and let the battles commence! Follow them on Facebook for the latest news.
