Glover Park Brewery

Tall, cool and refreshing beers will be brewed and served for the first time at the Marietta Square next week when the highly anticipated Glover Park Brewery opens their doors on Thursday, September 6th.

Glover Park Brewery is located at 65 Atlanta Street in the heart of Marietta  in a former Sears building that was built in the 1930’s. The Brewery fits well into this space as they make great use of the +10,000 square feet available. High ceilings and exposed brick makes one feel like they are standing in a bit of history.

The brewery was the idea of two Marietta locals, Sam Rambo and Hank DuPre. They wanted a neighborhood brewery in Marietta that served quality beer. To make this happen they partnered with Sweetwater Brewery co-founder Kevin McNerney who oversees the brewing on premises.

The top floor houses the event space which will be a Marietta hotspot for weddings, rehearsal dinners as well as family and corporate events. The large windows make the space feel even more open as well as part of the historic downtown area.

The bottom floor is where the brewing takes place. Bright and shiny stainless steel is the first thing you see as you walk down the long staircase to the brewery. The brewing facilities are mixed in with the tasting room floor. One has the opportunity to watch the beer brewing at the same time you are having a pint.

Bar games and big screen TVs are scattered throughout this area as well, making it a great place to relax and spend time with your friends.  They also have a beer garden located off the back of the brewery. This will be a great spot for college and pro football games this season.

Glover Park Brewery will not be serving their own food and will take a “Truck and Tap” approach where Thursday-Sunday a new food truck will serve their customers in the bar area. Wednesdays, Glover Park will have food runners and partner with a restaurant on the square where one can order their favorite food and have it delivered right to their table at the brewery.

The addition of this event space and brewery should put the Marietta Square on the brewing map for years to come.
