FF1Do you have one of those places that you’ve heard is good, but for whatever reason you still haven’t tried it? Well my Scoop partner has been telling me for probably three years how good the Frosty Frog Creamery and Café in Hickory Flat is for lunch, and I just finally went. Plus, it’s right next to another Scoop favorite, Three Sisters Gifts & Home Accents boutique!

I had been to the Frosty Frog probably 10 years ago when it was a cute, little ice cream shop. I am well aware that I am late to the party with the realization that they have quite a yummy lunch selection, and have tripled in size since my last visit! And of course, there are a bunch of cute toy frogs serving as decorations.FF4

The menu includes many of the traditional lunch choices, including a Scoop Approved chicken salad (we get it everywhere we go!), soups, salads, quiches, wraps and a big variety of baked goods. And, a southern staple and new found favorite of mine: pimento cheese! Orders are taken at the register and brought to your seat promptly.

FF3Of course, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention what the Frosty Frog is actually known for — ice cream! The ice cream is made in the store each day, and they have 32 flavors on a daily basis, but over 250 flavors in their arsenal, from Acai Berry to Wormy Apple. They have sherbets, sorbets, low fat and sugar free varieties. They also have a large selection of cakes, pound cakes, pies and ice cream cakes.

So next time, I will believe the hype! Hop on over to the Frosty Frog, and tell them Scoop sent you.
