Like many other cities around town, the City of Canton has announced a summer concert series at Etowah River Park.
The series will run from May to August and be on different dates than the established Woodstock Summer Concert Series.
Canton will be hosting a FREE concert series with the following schedule and acts:
- Saturday, May 18– Electric Avenue (80’s MTV Experience)
- Saturday, June 15–Thomas Fountain Band (local Cherokee County Artist)
- Saturday, July 20–A1A-Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band (tropical/island music)
- Saturday, August 17–The Kentucky Headhunters (southern rock)
Parks and Recreation Manager Adam Dodson said he is hoping to have themes like a beach theme, school’s out for the summer, and back to school according to the Cherokee Ledger.
Etowah River Park is located at 600 Brown Industrial Parkway and features 58 acres featuring an amphitheater, public bathroom, two community pavilions, inclusive playgrounds, public canoe launch, ½ mile concrete walking trail connecting to Etowah River Trail and Heritage Park, recreational field space, bridge crossing over Etowah River and many picnic tables.
