We got The Scoop that East Coast Street Tacos were going to open their first Georgia franchise in Acworth and had a Q & A with the owner/creator Ruben Angarita. The restaurant will be located at 3365 Acworth Oaks and plan to open the first week of August.
Why are you entering the GA market?
One of the owners in Georgia Juan Velez Jr. and he splits his time between NY and Acworth Georgia.
From traveling back and forth from NY to Acworth he realized that the Concept East Coast Street Tacos would be very interesting to do in Georgia. Bringing the Brooklyn NY vibe, music and food to Acworth.
The owners of East Coast Street Tacos in Georgia will be Juan Velez Jr and German Andujar.
Where else are you located?
We have a Brooklyn Location and Astoria location.
We are also in 3 Ski Resorts in NY State Windham, Catamount, Belleayre and 1 in Massachusetts Jiminy Peak.
We are also in the Original 1969 Woodstock site now Branded as Bethel woods performing arts.
How did you create this restaurant concept?
I founded & created the Brand along with my business partner Ivan Vichinsky who is a chef and graduate from Johnson and Wales known for their culinary Arts. I worked in corporate America for 20 plus years in IT. I left the IT world in 2018 to follow my passion, I always dabbled in food and my love and passion for food is what helped me create the concept and I teamed up with Ivan Vichinsky to assist on recipes and production. ECST was literally born in the Original Woodstock 1969 site. In 2017 we participated in all their concerts, We started with a Concession stand then opened up the Astoria location in 2019 then in 2020 before Covid we started building the Brooklyn location. We also have a full commercial Commissary where we make all our food for all locations and for our future franchise locations. We also provide catering services with our food trucks. We pride ourselves that what we serve our customers with unique latin fusion. Flavors from Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Caribbean and a little Japanese. We took street foods and flavors from different countries and put them all together. Tacos are the bait but our items on our menu please everyone from kids to adults.
The Acworth location will have a Tequila Bar featuring Tequilas and Sangrias. We want our customers to walk in and immediately feel that they are in a place where they can escape for a couple of hours and enjoy the Latin flavors of the world, along with some music to soothe their soul.
