Fall is almost officially here and a great way to have some wholesome family fun is by getting lost in a corn maze. Here are some great ones we’ve found OTP!

One maze you can visit is Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Dawsonville, just north of Forsyth County. OnOctober weekends at dusk, you can challenge the Haunted Maze if you dare! (All kids under 12 must be accompanied by a parent.) They also offer a relaxing nighttime hayride through the farm where you can enjoy the beauty of the country night sky. The hayride ends at a cozy bonfire where you can roast marshmallows and sink into the calming crackle of true farm-style relaxation. Uncle Shuck’s maze is open until November 18th and is located at 4520 Highway 53E. Have fun shooting their corn cannon! The corn maze is open now and everything is open in October.

The Dark Rows is an outdoor haunted attraction open on Friday and Saturday nights in October, presented by Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch. This new and improved Haunted Maze is a nighttime adventure through the corn , lit only by the clear blue glow of the moon.  Here are all the details.

For the eighth straight year, families can enjoy time together walking around Buford’s 5-acre Corn Maze. This special agri-tourism spot is perfect fun for all ages. And don’t forget the Hey Hey Heyride! Circle the maze, go through the woods, and experience the ride filled with hay and fun.  They are open now on Fridays from 5-10 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from noon – 10 pm through November 11th. You can follow them on Facebook for the latest updates.

Have you heard of a corn box? Buford’s has one! Children will have a blast sitting in fresh, clean, shelled corn, running their arms and legs through it — like a sand box, but without the mess! Also check out their various performances on Friday and Saturday nights, including karaoke each Friday from 6pm until 8pm. So grab a pumpkin, snap a picture, and a make a great memory.  The last day is November 12th  and the farm is located at 4470 Bennett Road.

It seems over the last few years, we don’t have as many maze options. Last year Corn Maze Bucks didn’t open due to rain and it appears closed again this year.

Corn Dawgs Corn Maze, announced that the Walnut Grove corn maze and fun park will not be opening this Fall. For the past nine years, Corn Dawgs has been an Autumn destination for thousands of families across northeast Georgia. “

I will miss seeing the smiles on the faces of our guests, both young and old,” said Misty Duren. “I feel fortunate that we were able to provide a place for families to come and have fun each fall and am so grateful to the Walton County community for their support over all these years.”

Remember, Cagle’s Dairy in Canton will not have a maze as they are relocated to Ball Ground.

Check out The Rock Ranch for fun October events.

Also, ’tis the season for apple picking, pumpkins and to time to visit Haunted Houses OTP.
