Thumbs Up Diner Gets Two Thumbs Up

When a restaurant’s name is Thumbs Up Diner, they have a high expectation to uphold. With five locations in Atlanta and two OTP (Roswell & Marietta), they have made their mark on the breakfast and brunch crowd.

We tried the Roswell location; they are known for that friendly diner feel with homemade cooking. After we asked the waitress way too many questions about the ingredients and flavors, we decided on their yummy Belgian waffle.

They are known for their flaky multi-grain biscuits, which is important for a breakfast establishment. They also have in-house smoked meats, fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juice, stone ground grits, homemade jams, Vermont maple syrup, and their famous cast iron skillet dishes served over potatoes.

My business partner wanted to buy those little skillets for her hubby to use at home for breakfast after she ordered and devoured her skillet dish. I had the Greek scramble, which is eggs scrambled with onions, black olives, spinach, tomatoes, and feta cheese. It looked beautiful and tasted delicious. We were both part of the clean plate club!

Since all the food is cooked to order, it might take a minute. But it goes along with their saying of “Relax, It’s only eggs!” Do note that Thumbs Up Diner only accepts cash. They get Two Thumbs Up from us. Tell them Scoop sent you and enjoy the biscuits!
