4th of July Events OTP

With July 4th falling on a Saturday, there are lots of weekend events happening OTP. So whether you want to stay in your own city or venture out, here’s a list of some of the bigger events to help you plan your day!

Acworth
Let freedom Ring! The City of Acworth and the Acworth Business Association are proud to present one of the largest fireworks extravaganzas in Metro Atlanta. On Saturday, July 4 there will be live music and fireworks at Cauble Park. Live music starts at 4:00 p.m. and fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. The complete schedule of events is listed below:

  • 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Shreeps
  • 5:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Paul Hand Band Experience
  • 7:40 p.m. to 7:55 p.m. Patriotic Celebration
  • 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Flashback
  • 9:40 p.m. (Approximately) Fireworks
  • 10:15 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Flashback

Admission to the concert is free; however tables are available for the July 4 concert. Tables are $50 each for City of Acworth residents and $70 for non-residents. With the table you get 6 chairs and one parking pass. This parking pass will allow you to park at Cauble Park as long as spots remain available. Parking at Cauble Park is by special pass only on July 4, but you are not guaranteed a parking spot at Cauble Park with this pass so please plan on arriving early.  There will be food vendors on-site selling a variety of options beginning at noon. If you do not have a parking pass or if the parking is full, you will need to park downtown. For more information in this event, please call 770-917-1234.

Alpharetta
Celebrate Independence Day with family and friends at Wills Park on Saturday, July 4, 2015 in Alpharetta!  The spectacular fireworks display begins at dusk!  Entertainment and children’s activities will be on the lawn behind Alpharetta Community Center from 6pm to 9pm.

There will be nominal fees for inflatables and other children’s activities (cash only please).  Food vendors will be located throughout the park from 6pm to 10pm (cash only please).  Alcohol and tobacco are prohibited in the park per City ordinance.  Pets must be on leashes or in a crate.  Charcoal grills are strictly prohibited.  Small propane grills are allowed with permit.  To obtain a permit, call 678-297-6123.  Some activities may be canceled due to inclement weather, but the fireworks will be shot rain or shine.

Buford/Mall of Georgia
Grab your red, white and blue and get ready to “Ooh!” and “Ahh!” this Fourth of JulyW_207109 with Mall of Georgia’s 13th Annual Star Spangled Fourth event! Presented by AutoNation Toyota and Hyundai Mall of Georgia, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Gwinnett Braves, the mall’s Independence Day event is offering a full day of fun activities for the entire family including children’s rides and inflatables, live music, food and beverage concessions and the largest fireworks display in the county!

Free concerts begin at 5 p.m. in the Village Amphitheater

Post-fireworks screening of Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 (rated PG-13) New this year -70 foot movie screen! Kid Zone opens at 5 p.m. with family-friendly activities. With special appearance by Captain America & Wonder Woman. The famed fireworks display will launch from the Von Maur Overflow Lot and attendees are not permitted to park or sit in sections of the Von Maur Parking Lot, which will be clearly marked. For the easiest entrance and exit, parking will be provided in the Dillard’s Lot.

Canton
A1A band – the Jimmy Buffett tribute band from 6 to 9pm in Downtown Canton. Fireworks will be at Riverstone at dusk and a parade will be from 7 to 8 in Downtown Canton.

Cartersville
53Stars, Stripes and CartersvilleThe fun begins at 9 AM with the WBHF and Cartersville Optimist Club FOURTH OF JULY PARADE on Main Street in downtown Cartersville. After the parade STARS, STRIPES & CARTERSVILLE takes place at Dellinger Park from 10 AM-10 PM presented by Cartersville Optimist Club, City of Cartersville, and Superior Plumbing. Admission is $5.00 per vehicle.

FIREWORKS: See the largest fireworks celebration ever hosted at Dellinger Park. Thanks to City of Cartersville, Bartow County and Century Bank, there will be twice as many fireworks as in years past beginning about 9:30 PM.

KID’S ZONE: Harry Daniels Insurance Kid’s Zone will feature huge inflatable slides, obstacle courses, bounces and more. There will be a petting zoo, pony rides, and camel rides.  FREE CONCERT: The Century Bank Stage will feature local entertainment all day. Scott Thompson will play an acoustic set from 4-7 PM then will team up with Peachtree Station for a concert at 8 PM.

Cumming
JULY 3 FIREWORKS: July 3rd Festivities: Dance Contest, Food Vendors & Children Activities from 6-11 PM Fireworks start at 9:30 PM. FREE Admission and Parking July 4th Steam Engine Parade at 10:00 AM

Kennesaw
The city of Kennesaw’s “Salute to America” Friday, July 3rd 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM in Downtown Kennesaw. If your patriotic heart beats red, white and blue, then you’ll love the City of Kennesaw’s pre-Independence Day celebration of freedom, music and fireworks! From the United States Air Force Band of the West’s high-energy Concert Band to the sounds of DEPARTURE, the most respected Journey tribute band in the nation, audiences will be treated to two stages of live music, festive street entertainment, food vendors, and kid’s activities. The evening will be capped off with a brilliant fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m.

Lanier World
Three days of fun and fireworks at Lake Lanier’s LanierWorld. Live entertainment there all day from 7/2-7/5!  There will be patriotic food and drink specials all weekend long, and fireworks three days in a row! This is an Independence Day celebration you won’t want to miss!

  • Thursday, July 2, see live entertainment at Sunset Cove by John Amoroso from 4-7PM and Riley Biederer from 7-11PM. .
  • Friday, July 3, Have a blast all day at LanierWorld on the rides and slides, enjoy live entertainment from 3-7PM by Craig Gleason and Samantha Stroh and Southern Machine from 7-11PM. Fireworks at 10PM.
  • Saturday, July 4, dig your toes in the sand at the Big Beach stage and rock out with live entertainment provided by KICKS 101.5. Skyelor Anderson will take the stage at 4PM and the Tiki Bros at 6:30PM. Then find yourself a cozy spot at Sunset Cove and get ready for our fireworks extravaganza! Our spectacular display will begin after dark, weather-dependent. Fireworks at 10PM.
  • Sunday, July 5, enjoy your lunch at Sunset Cove and hear more live entertainment by Johhny Summers from 2-6PM. Fireworks at 10PM.

The city of Marietta’s Fourth in the Park celebration begins Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 10 a.m. and includes a parade, free live concerts, museum tours, arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and fireworks finale.  The Marietta Freedom Parade includes 110 entries, 2,000 participants and an estimated 30,000 spectators. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Roswell Street Baptist Church and travels west on Roswell Street, north on East Park Square past Glover Park and the Square, down Cherokee Street and ends at North Marietta Parkway.

Roswell’s Annual July 4th “Extravaganza”

The City of Roswell will once again host a huge community celebration of our nation’s Independence Day. Enjoy giant inflatables, carnival games, food trucks, face painting, and other fun, family-friendly activities.

 Stone Mountain Park
Celebration and events are scheduled from July 2nd through July 5th.  Visit their website for a full list of details on fireworks and laser shows.

Woodstock
Stars & Strikes July 4th Event – A Freedom Run starts at 7am, then a parade kicks off the day at 10am from Woodstock Elementary, a family fun day at the City-Center with The Block Party Band and cake walking activities. Fireworks at Target Shopping Center at Dusk on 575 and Hwy 92.
