Long gone are the days of boring, ungarnished mixed drinks. Craft cocktails are all the rage, and how you garnish them does matter. Hendricks Gin is taking their traditional gin cocktails up a notch with its “Grand Garnisher”, a 38 foot long food truck style, penny-farthing vehicle that slices cucumbers for your cocktails.
The promotional vehicle is on a cross country road trip and will be in Cobb County on Wednesday at the Bonefish Grill at Akers Mill, according to Atlanta Magazine. During the event, which runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., you can grab a cup of sliced cucumbers from the truck, which you can then take into Bonefish Grill to have incorporated into one of three different cocktails made with Hendrick’s (which itself is infused with cucumbers, hence the vegetable choice). There will be a Cucumber Collins, a cucumber-infused gin and tonic with basil; the Blackberry Bramble, which features blackberry puree and lemon juice; and a classic gin and tonic.
We’d love to see a picture of this pedal-powered cucumber slicer — so if you go, send us your pictures.
