The Gibson Co. Marketplace is opening a second location at 1810 Cumming Highway, Suite 1380, in Canton where the Family Christian Store was located across from Dick’s Sporting Goods Store. Their first location is at the Collection of Forsyth.
In 2014, The Gibson Family took a giant risk and started working together to refinish furniture under the name “The Redo Gal.” At first it was just furniture Clarissa chose and painted, but after a while she mastered her craft and began to get requests from other people with old furniture needing a facelift.
The family had always dreamed of opening a store and that time came in 2016. The Gibson Co. is a representation of their love for home decor, local artists and the local community. They aim to showcase artists from Georgia and be a small part in helping other creatives live out their dreams. Clarissa Gibson said:
Our hope is when you walk through the doors you will feel at home and leave inspired. You can shop the spaces from pies to pillows!
They carry home decor, apparel, lots of amazing jewelry, accessories, unique gifts, speciality foods, baby gifts, and more. Plus, they carry the Nora Fleming product line. The store is made up of local vendors, so think of it as a physical Etsy shop. Some local vendors include blc design co, caruthers jewelry, define charm bars, and pop bar.
Gibson said they want to be known for supporting small businesses that are unique and special.
In addition, they have a design division, where they can do digital mock-ups as well as full service. The style is colonial modern using earthy materials. Check out their instagram feed for inspiration.
We are excited to welcome them to Canton and love that they want to be part of the community!
