South City Kitchen Expands

Avalon Phase II just opened last week, and with that were a host of exciting new retailers, including the groundbreaking of the new Hotel at Avalon and Alpharetta Conference Center, a $112 million project. The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that South City Kitchen will open its fourth outpost at the Alpharetta mixed-use development and be installed as part of The Hotel at Avalon.

South City Kitchen has 23 years of serving fresh and contemporary southern cuisine with a sophisticated spin in Atlanta. Their award-winning food, wine list and service come together flawlessly for lunch, dinner or brunch. Many celebrities have been spotted at their midtown location next to the Fox Theatre.  Here’s an example of their menu.

In 1993, Fifth Group Restaurants opened the first South City Kitchen in Midtown. The company added a Vinings location in 2006, and it expanded the brand to Buckhead last year. At Avalon, South City Kitchen will reportedly take up a 6,000-square-foot space designed by local firm The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry, and a patio will overlook Avalon Boulevard. The restaurant and hotel lobby will be seamless in this 330 luxury hotel.

Here are some restaurant renderings from The Johnson Studio at Cooper Cary. South City Kitchen is expected to open in early 2018.
