Here’s a June 2016 update about Parkside West Cobb’s shopping development located off of Dallas Highway and Casteel Road. More tenants have been announced including Sprouts, Stein Mart, Ulta, Zoe’s Kitchen, Mellow Mushroom and more! Our friend, Eli Zandman of Tomorrow’s News Today, said Marshalls will also be joining this lineup.
According to our original May 2015 article, the Marietta Daily Journal reported that a new high-end shopping development like the Avenues will be opening in West Cobb. Sprouts Farmers Market and a Steinmart will be the anchors.
Supporters of a $40 million retail center proposed across the street from The Avenue West Cobb on Dallas Highway outnumbered those in opposition, including a former county commissioner, at a Planning Commission meeting Tuesday.
The Planning Commission voted 5-0 to approve rezoning 20 acres on the corner of Dallas Highway and Casteel Road to allow for the shopping center, expected to contain 166,000 square feet of retail space.
It appears that the goal is too keep this a higher-end shopping plaza. We will see which tenants come aboard as they finalize the details for the new shopping development. Stay tuned for the Scoop!
