Mittie’s Cafe in Alpharetta

Don’t panic — the chicken salad and lobster bisque recipe will remain intact, but Mittie’s Cafe in Alpharetta now has a new owner!

11825225_868533593181813_8684011245855700874_nElizabeth Seago is from North Fulton and has worked at Mittie’s since 2005. With a B.S. degree in hotel and restaurant management from Georgia Southern, she was excited when her dream opportunity came true to own Mitties. “I wanted to invest in a community and a concept that is uniquely Alpharetta,” she said.

The signature Mittie’s Favorites recipes built this business, and Elizabeth is excited to carry on those traditions while bringing some fresh ideas to the table, too. She is also introducing Tea2: tea on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2pm and every 2nd Sunday at 2pm.

“We are cognizant of the fact some folks know us as a “tea room” — I’d describe the next chapter for Mittie’s as a fusion: Southern Chic/Traditional Southern hospitality.”

Mittie's Scoop OTPMittie’s will host their new menu introduction Saturday, September 5. Come in from 10am to 1pm for a complimentary tasting of their signature menu items, as well as an introduction to the new menu. You must RSVP in advance to attend.

We can’t wait to go and enjoy a hot cup of tea, and we look forward to their seasonal items like Canadian sausage pie in the fall! For now, we can enjoy Elizabeth’s favorite: Iced Black Tea with mint (sweetened of course, since she is a true Southern girl.)

Be sure to keep Mittie’s in mind as a place for your next meeting or special event. Elizabeth says one of the things that makes Mitties so special are “Moments that Matter” — whether it be a wedding shower, baby shower, birthdays, or a family member hosting a celebration of a life well lived.

Tell Elizabeth Scoop OTP sent you, and enjoy this establishment that has been serving Alpharetta for 12 years! Thank you to Local Life Publishing who introduced us to Elizabeth and Mittie’s.
