Make Your Beauty Ritual Count

There are some people who are lucky enough to do what they had always set their mind out to do. Dawn Levy is one of these lucky ones. As a chemistry major in college, and due to her love for both science and beauty, Dawn ritualbeauty3realized she was determined to work in the beauty industry. And as a person who had her own personal skin care battles, the dream of having her own line of skin care began.

Upon graduation from college, Dawn took a job in New York working for a small entrepreneurial skin care company, wearing many different hats. After a couple of years, she wanted to move back home to Alpharetta. When she did, she took a job with Clinique in their marketing department, but eventually left with the goal of starting up My Ritual Beauty. A few years (and some children!) later, My Ritual Beauty was officially launched.

“Look. Feel. Be.” is the motto at My Ritual Beauty. It is based on the belief that if a woman looks and feels her best, she can do anything.  Dawn also truly believes that make-up can only do so much, and that you must start with a healthy canvas, which starts with eating healthy, drinking lots of water, and exercising.

ritualbeauty2My Ritual Beauty has created its first product, Daily Perfecting Treatment Serum. It is a twice daily serum that is used morning and night. The serum is comprised of an anti aging complex with Matrixyl 3000, AHA and antioxidants.

Dawn was strongly influenced (as I was) by her mother, who instilled good skin care habits in her at a young age while spending hours at the cosmetic counters together. Dawn lost her mother to lung cancer, so in her honor, a portion of the proceeds are donated to lung cancer research.

My Ritual Beauty is sold exclusively online. And while it is no secret that skin care products are available just about everywhere, I like the fact that a local person has gone to the lengths of researching and creating her own! And believe me — I am a skin care product junkie!

Dawn also has many great entries on her blog with tips on skin care, spring cleaning (skin care style!), how to look your best when you’re sick, a glance into some of her own beauty rituals, and events My Ritual Beauty takes part in. Check it out!
