The real-life Griswold family have taken their name and their travel business to a whole new level when they built themselves a version of the famous “Griswold Family Truckster” from the original Vacation movie starring Chevy Chase. They did such a good job recreating the green and wood paneled station wagon that the car was used in the sequel.
This Thursday night Steve and Lisa Griswold’s story will be shared on Jay Leno’s show Garage Season 3 Thursday Feb. 8 at 10 PM ET on CNBC. Steve said:
I had no idea when I dreamed up building our own Wagon Queen Family Truckster to take our kids on classic 1980’s road trips across America, that one day we would be on Jay Leno’s Garage. That’s pretty darn cool!
