Originally, we reported that IFly Indoor was coming to Alpharetta, but the city council voted the indoor sky diving facility down 6 to 1. Not to worry — you can still get a chance to try indoor skydiving — the city of Smryna has approved building the skydiving facility.
Tomorrow’s News Today reports that Austin, Texas-based iFLY Indoor Skydiving is coming to Cobb Parkway near the new Atlanta Braves stadium at SunTrust Park. The new facility will be built on a nearly one acre parcel at 2778 Cobb Parkway, just north of Cumberland Mall.
This Ifly will be the first in Georgia and is on track to
open in late October or early November. Currently, the company has about 25 centers operating in the United States and even more internationally.
The facility itself will be about 5,000 square foot with a 58′ tall iFLY Indoor Skydiving silo of sorts, that enables the skydiving experience.
