Field & Stream plans to open its first Atlanta area location next year in Kennesaw, according to Tomorrow’s News Today. The new 42,728 square foot store will open in place of the former JCPenney Home Store in Town Center Commons on Ernest Barrett Parkway; adjacent to its larger corporate parent, Dick’s Sporting Goods.
The article states that the existing Dick’s will be heavily renovated and will add a connecting pathway between the two stores. Together, the stores will be known as “All-American Sports Center”. Opening date is scheduled for late spring or early summer.
Field & Stream focuses on hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor recreation merchandise similar to Cabela’s.
I know a few men who will be happy campers when this store opens. Thank you to Eli Zandman for the Scoop!
