East Main Cafe, a new coffee house and cafe housed inside Audio Intersection, has opened in downtown Canton. With the closing of Cup Up Coffee, owners Savannah Greenway and Brit Rose didn’t want anyone to miss out on their morning cup of Joe, so they opened quickly. So quickly, in fact, that the pair are still working out details of their logo, website and social media sites.
Greenway has been baking since she was little, helping her mom with her elaborate wedding cake business in Dacula. I can’t wait to try her popular Buckeye treats and blueberry muffins that she told me about! Her partner Rose has been in the coffee industry for 12 years. Michelle is the coffee aficionado among us, so she will be sure to put them to the test creating one of her favorite concoctions when we visit.
The restaurant will be open Monday – Saturday 7:30am-7:00pm. Audio Intersection offers complimentary wi-fi and is a great place to have a work meeting; we have worked their many times.
Future plans include catering, a newsletter with recipes, and facilitating events at the 210 East Main Street location. Greenway said that both owners are worker bees and enjoy the personal connection with their customers .
For those of you that are sad to see Cup Up leave, Peter posted this message on his Facebook page :
The last three years of serving my community, friends, and those I now consider family have been some of the happiest of my life. Bringing Canton my flair and beans meant the world to me each morning…follow my Facebook page for the future of Cup Up Coffee!
We wish East Main Cafe and Cup Up success in their new endeavors and can’t wait to visit. Follow us on Facebook for the latest Dirt around town, including updates on Canton’s three new restaurants opening soon: Queenies, Local on North, and Steep.
