Seven Sisters Scones

Seven Sisters SconesWe love a good scone, but the thought of whipping up a batch on our own is overwhelming. So when we heard there was a new store dedicated to just scones, we had to check it out.

Just like so many of the small businesses we meet, Seven Sisters Scones has a story. It’s more than just a catchy name — the owners are actually two of seven sisters (and two brothers).

Blueberry Lemon Seven Sisters SconesHala and Farrah are the sisters behind the scones. Hala had been a professional chef and started making scones at home just for breakfast. Once she shared them with her sisters, the requests for all varieties came: savory, fruity, sweet — all of the above.  When she got to the point of having them stashed in her freezer at all times, she realized the time had come to turn it into a business.

We were lucky enough to accidentally pop in on the sisters on their opening day. They had lovely little samples of all of their scones, which really helped in our decision-making process.

The flavors include all of the sweet and fruity flavors you would expect: banana toffee, caramel apple, maple pumpkin and triple chocolate. The savory flavors include: bacon cheddar jalapeño, buffalo chicken, feta spinach, kalamata olive, fig with goat cheese, and too many more to list! They are seriously so unique — you just have to try them!

The store sells scones, mini scones (perfect for a party), mini sconewiches, biscotti, croutons, and an array of gift baskets and platters. Instead of the usual cheese and cracker tray, try one of Seven Sisters platters and see how your guests respond!

Stop in to Seven Sisters and try some of the delicious scones they make fresh everyday. And tell them Scoop sent you!

Seven Sisters Scones is located at 6955 McGinnis Ferry Road in Johns Creek.  You can also find them at farmers markets.
