With the closing of Canton’s Painted Pig restaurant, Bonkerz Comedy Club has also lost its lease. The Painted Pig was a happening sport bar, art gallery, bar & grill in the heart of downtown Canton.
We are sad to see the Painted Pig close, but Joeseph Guynup the owner on Facebook said,
We would like to thank everyone for their support. The Painted Pig has been our home for the last two years. It means a lot to read all of your post. We know we could not make every one happy, however we tried. I have been meeting with potential prospects to lease the space. It is important to us that we lease the space to a restaurant proprietor. It will be an interview process, on both ends.
We have been fortunate to work with their corporate office and offer our Scoop fans tickets many times!
But the question remains: Where will Bonkerz reappear? OTP is prime to have an affordable and fun comedian night somewhere. They used to be at Andretti’s Karting in Roswell and then at the P.P. in Canton, so it appears OTP is a great destination for them.
