The highly anticipated Sixes Road development has posted new signage. The developers had previously announced that a Dunkin’ Donuts, a Waffle House and a Circle K would be coming to the area, and today’s sign added another restaurant: Guthrie’s Chicken.
Guthrie’s Chicken was started by Hal Guthrie on the campus of Auburn University, serving college students. The focus of the restaurant went into full chicken finger mode in 1978 and became a family affair. Guthrie knew that the chicken fingers had to have the perfect sauce, so he enlisted the help of his children to create a recipe of irresistible sauce and the rest is history.
