If you are one of the millions of shoppers who love and use thredUp, a leading online marketplace specializing in the buying and selling of secondhand apparel, you may have heard that they are opening a distribution center in Duluth in unincorporated Gwinnett County.
The San Francisco-based company runs a website where consumers can buy and sell like-new women’s and children’s clothing. So even though this isn’t a traditional store, having a distribution center in our region of the country will be beneficial to local online shoppers. According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle,
“By opening new distribution centers in strategic locations across the country, thredUP is able to increase processing capacity, while also offering faster shipping transit times and more localized, seasonally relevant inventory,” said John Voris, chief operating officer of thredUP.
