You might drive right by The Union, because this restaurant looks just like a house and is not located in an urban setting near other businesses, but near horse farms! This was the perfect place to scoop out since guests from North Fulton, Woodstock, and Canton are all near it, but may not even know it!
The décor is 70’s style, fun and funky, and sets the mood for a fun afternoon lunch, date night or family-friendly dinner.
I met a few girlfriends to catch up and the crowd was a good mix of businessmen in suits, a couple after a tennis match, and a gaggle of girlfriends celebrating a birthday — so come as you are!
The restaurant has a casual feel to it, and you can bring your children too as they have a separate kids menu. I have been to The Union for lunch several times and haven’t had to wait, but I have heard it can get crowded on the weekends, so bring some patience and enjoy either the indoor or outdoor seating area, and possibly some live music as well.
The Union offers comfort food, pizza, and healthy choices. Something for everyone! The shrimp and grits is one of their specialties; my friend and I split that as well as a salad, which was the perfect amount. The restaurant has a full bar too — we each enjoyed a spicy Bloody Mary. They carry the 70’s theme onto their drink menu with Reunite Wine on Ice, Tang, Ovaltine, and Fresca.
The main room can get a little loud, but I think between the good food, the fun décor, and the hoppin’ bar area, it is right on par for the course. So, drive a little off the beaten path to enjoy The Union and tell them Scoop sent you!
