With school break just around the corner, visiting Tanglewood Farms is a great staycation idea, especially if you have little ones. Nestled behind Woodmont, a major subdivision in Cherokee County, there is a 10 acre wild west town with 100 inhabitants — all of them miniature farm animals.
Last year we took my 5 year old nephew and my tween children to Tanglewood Farms. They all enjoyed this Forced Family Fun outing. You can feed the friendly animals, take a pony ride, or pan for gold!
The animals are more playful and active than at a traditional farm; they love to be fed and petted. This outdoor experience is wholesome and educational entertainment. It’s a great opportunity to introduce farm life to your children.
Their calendar is full of different monthly events such as the upcoming Springfest with miniature Easter Bunnies, Pioneer Days with sheep shearing, and Father Fest in June where dads get in free. Consider Tanglewood Farms for school outings, company family picnics, or even a western wedding!
Tanglewood Farms is also the largest breeder of miniatures, so you might just end up with a new pet too! Tell them Scoop sent you, and visit them at:
