Skewers Opening on Marietta Square

A new restaurant concept, Skewers, is opening in the next few weeks right off Marietta Square where Double Take Cafe was formerly located at 34 Powder Springs Street, next to the Marietta Wine Market.

Restaurantuer Jean-Louis Constantinides is no stranger to owning a restaurant in Marietta. He owned Blu Greek Taverna, where Stockyard Burgers and Bones is now located.

He said this unique concept will have skewers from all around the world. You can enjoy a selection of meats and vegetables flavored with an international flare representing Korean, Mexican, Indian, Greek and several more all in one restaurant. For example, the Korean skewer is made with bulgogi marinated beef grilled and served with steamed rice and Kimchi. Another is the Thai skewer, which offers grilled chicken skewers marinated in peanut curry and coconut sauce served with yellow rice and fresh sliced mango. All dishes will be priced under $19.

Constantinides said:

All dishes will be made using local, organic and gluten free ingredients. The singature dish is the Marietta Farmers Market skewer which will be made up charcoal grilled fresh and organic vegetables purchased exclusively from the vendors at the Marietta Farmer’s Market.

They will have a beer and wine menu from 15 different countries. Delivery, pick up, and late night dining will be be available. This location will be the pilot for bigger concepts all over Atlanta and beyond, according to Constantinides.

Welcome back to Marietta; we can’t wait to try it! Their Facebook and website page are under construction and will be available soon.
