A new eatery is now open in Downtown Woodstock. If you are a fan of pies, you will be excited to welcome the Pie Bar to a storefront near Salt. You may have purchased and enjoyed their pies as they attend the Woodstock Farmer’s Market and other Farmer’s Markets around town. They also have been featured in a Georgia Crafted box for their mini peach pies.
According to their website: “Pie is not just for special occasions, even though every time you order a pie from Pie Bar, an angel gets its wings. Seriously.”
Owner and pie maker, Lauren Bolden, began baking pies for family and friends when she was a kid. Many years and lots of pies later, she has begun to pursue something that makes her happy…pie. Currently Pie Bar is satisfying your pie needs through custom orders (orderpiebar@gmail.com) and local farmers markets north of Atlanta, Georgia.
Lauren said: If you are looking for a no-frills, simple approach to delicious pie, Pie Bar is your place. We specialize in making pies that look homemade (because they are) and taste even better. Choose between our traditional pies or pies with a little more “fun” (i.e. alcohol..it bakes out, we promise). Either way, you will not be disappointed.
We love their tag line: Pie Bar is truly pie for the masses; and we can’t wait to try them!
8720 Main Street, in the building north of Salt Factory Pub, Woodstock. Coming late summer 2015.
If you love pies, you will also enjoy The Pie Hole in downtown Roswell.
Update: Opening September 1st and they will start with sweet pies and then add savory. They are also looking at Gluten free options in the future.
We had a chance to visit on October 6 and enjoyed their selection of pies – of course we had to try them all! We can’t wait for their indoor and outdoor seating to be approved, but of course that didn’t stop us from scarfing down some great pie standing up!
