Staycation at Lake Lanier Islands

images-4Do you just ever want to get away but you don’t have the time or the money? Escaping to Lake Lanier Islands Resorts is the perfect place to stay for the day or the evening at a reasonable price — and it’s OTP!

It truly feels like an escape with the yachts, beach, restaurants and bars all in one area. It’s the perfect opportunity to have some Forced Family Fun by taking advantage of the water park, zip-lining, paddle board, kayak and boat rentals, miniature golf and more. It is also perfect for that romantic getaway too!

For the past few summers, I have rented a home on the lake and then ventured to the resort. My tween children LOVE the water park — the rides are thrilling and the park is very clean and safe. The bathrooms are also clean, which is always a good way to judge a place in my opinion! They have a great kiddy area too, which my young nephew enjoyed.

The resort has some great restaurants onsite too. We had lunch at Sunset Cove Beach Cafe and dinner at Gianni’s Italian Bistro.

Like all the reviews we write, Lake Lanier Islands isn’t a sponsor of Scoop OTP or pay us for this review, this is truly a great place to visit during the summer.  Check here for their coupons and deals.  They have their  Family Funtastic Package, where you’ll enjoy access for 4 to all the rides and slides at LanierWorld, as well as luxurious overnight accommodations, and breakfast the next day. Don’t wait around to start the fun on your summer vacation; they have also included LanierWorld tickets for 4 on your day of arrival as well! That’s a total of 8 tickets to LanierWorld starting at $239.

LanierWorld is the South’s premier lakeside entertainment district offering not only rides and slides, but daily entertainment, live music, festivals and special events, delicious dining options and more! So, pack your bags and head to Lake Lanier Islands to experience the exciting adventure included in their summer Family (not forced) Fun Package.

In addition to the water activities, I have played golf at Legacy on Lake Lanier, which is a beautiful course with some holes on the water. A few of my friends recently went zip-lining there and had a great time. There really is a lot to do at the Lake Lanier Islands — it’s the perfect idea for an anniversary, a birthday celebration, or just a quick weekend escape! So go have fun, and tell them Scoop sent you.
