“Healthy” Margarita for National Margarita Day

In honor of National Margarita Day, we thought we’d share one of our tested and Scoop Approved “Healthy” Margarita recipes, courtesy of Vita-Mix. No need to feel guilty about this whole fruit recipe. Enjoy!


  • 6 ounces (180 ml) tequilaWHOLE FRUIT MARGARITA
  • 2 ounces (60 ml) Grand Marnier or Triple Sec
  • 1 orange, peeled, halved
  • 1 lime, peeled, halved
  • 1 lemon, peeled, halved
  • 6 Tablespoons (75 g) granulated sugar(substitute with blue agave)
  • 6 cups (1.4 l) ice cubes


  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
  2. Select Variable 1.
  3. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
  4. Blend for 45 seconds, using the tamper to press the ingredients into the blades.
  5. Pour into salt-rimmed margarita glasses.
