Guthrie’s Chicken Expanding in Georgia

For those of you that love Guthrie’s Chicken, get excited, the chain is expanding with several new locations coming soon to Georgia.

Guthrie’s Chicken was started by Hal Guthrie on the campus of Auburn University, serving college students. The focus of the restaurant went into full chicken finger mode in 1978 and became a family affair. Guthrie knew that the chicken fingers had to have the perfect sauce, so he enlisted the help of his children to create a recipe of irresistible sauce and the rest is history.

Matt Dahlhauser of Dahlhauser Group said he can’t release specifics yet, but he did say:

There will be two locations in Canton, one in Cobb county, and one in Locust Grove Ga.  We are pushing more expansion and even hoping to bring them back to Athens and other colleges in the Ga market.

We do know that one of them in Canton is coming to a Sixes Road Development to a free standing restaurant next to a new Circle K on Sixes Road and Ridge Road.  A reader told us on Facebook that the other Canton location is at Highway 20 and E. Cherokee with a Taco Bell and Circle K. If you know the Cobb location, let us know!

They currently have restaurants located in the cities of Ringgold and Trenton, as well as five other states.
