Drive Shack, a year-round indoor sports complex with golf, games a restaurant and rooftop will be opening its first Georgia location in Marietta. The $25 million dollar company will employ 450 people, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The Marietta City Council voted 7-0 Feb. 14 to sell 17 acres at 849 Franklin Gateway to the golf entertainment company for $9.5 million. With this transaction, Marietta City Manager Bill Bruton said more than 2,400 jobs have come to the city’s Franklin Gateway area at I-75.
The Franklin Gateway Corridor renovation efforts have been booming recently with the new headquarters for the Atlanta United Soccer team, and the December announcement of an IKEA choosing the area for its second Georgia location.
