We don’t like to report on businesses closing, but we know these ones will be missed.
Celebrity Chef Hugh Acheson’s Achie’s at the Omni at The Battery Atlanta has closed. The restaurant, which opened this past January, was located in the third level lobby of the 264 room hotel, adjacent to SunTrust Park. We didn’t even get a chance to check it out!
Crafthall Kitchen, the new food concept launched this past April in Sandy Springs, has closed temporarily. They are reorganizing and hope to open back up. Their Facebook says:
Hey everyone- we are doing an overhaul on our management and will be closed for awhile to work everything out. We are hoping to open up again soon- we’re sorry for any inconvenience
Goin’ Coastal closed in Atlanta in Virginia Highland on November 3. This is a different owner than the Canton restaurant, where we see no slow down of Zack Kell’s restaurant domination in that city. Thank Goodness, ’cause we love the Canton location!
Frozen yogurt purveyor Pinkberry has closed its shops in Buckhead Triangle in Buckhead and in Avalon in Alpharetta.
In Kennesaw, Abbadabbas Cool Shoes closed on October 27, 2018. They encourage their Kennesaw customers to visit their East Cobb store so they can continue to serve you with healthful and innovative footwear.
Stockyard Burgers has closed their newly opened Sandy Springs location on Roswell Road, but it appears to be converting to an event space called the Copper Bar at Taqueria Tsunami — stay tuned for those details!
Let us know about any closings or openings in your area. Thank you to Eli Zandman of Tomorrow’s News Today for the closing scoop.
