Avalon’s Newest Retailers

Avalon continues to grow with more retailers planned for Phase Two.

North American Properties (NAP) has announced that fashion retailers Boogaloos, Hammer Made and Scout & Molly’s will open as part of the expansion of Avalon, an 86-acre mixed-use community in Alpharetta, in April 2017.

Boogaloos is an Atlanta staple with locations at Ponce City Market and Town Brookhaven. The upscale women’s boutique offers premium denim from brands such as Citizens for Humanity and 7 For All Mankind, as well as top 14045792_10157365617845080_3420727304922584773_nclothing lines such as French Connection, Sanctuary, Weston Wear and Bailey 44. In addition to high-end clothing, the boutique sells jewelry, often from local designers, home goods that make for the perfect gift and handbags. Armed with a CPA degree and background in finance, local owner and founder of Boogaloo’s, Penny Scheetz, made the jump from accounting to fashion in 2001, and has yet to look back.

“We are thrilled to open our next location at Avalon, the most sought-after shopping destination in North Fulton,” Scheetz said. images-2“Some of our customers were driving from the North Atlanta suburbs to shop at the Brookhaven and Ponce stores. We look forward to serving them closer to home, as well as meeting new Boogaloo’s fans.”

Scout & Molly’s is a rapidly growing boutique concept with stores tScout & Mollys Boutiquehroughout the country, largely on the east coast. Owner Lisa Kornstein opened the first location in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2002 for women seeking a personalized, comfortable shopping experience with top-notch customer service and one-of-a-kind clothing, jewelry and accessories. Kornstein wants shoppers to feel like they’re borrowing from their best friend’s closet, where a smile and fashion advice are readily available.

Also coming with Avalon’s expansion is Hammer Made, a Minnesota-based men’s clothier known for its line of expertly Hammer Madetailored shirts and other wares like ties, denim, belts and knitwear. Jason Hammerberg founded the concept in 2009 with the goal of creating premium quality, limited-run shirts at affordable pricing. Each Hammer Made store is equipped with complimentary expert stylists to guide men along their shopping journey.

Avalon’s expansion is slated to debut in April 2017, and will bring additional retail, office and living space to the development. Retailers and restaurants already confirmed for the expansion include Brooks Brothers, Urban Outfitters, Rumi’s Kitchen, The Boardroom Salon for Men, Lucky Brand, Levi’s, Barleygarden Kitchen and Craft Bar and Brine Fish House. The Hotel at Avalon, an Autograph Collection hotel, and the Alpharetta Conference Center, will arrive in early 2018.
