Sometimes, even past the morning hours, we just want breakfast food. We had ventured out past our normal OTP boundaries and into the Vinings area to try a PURE Barre studio, which specializes in small isometric movements using a ballet bar (if you know me personally, don’t laugh!). It was a fun class, and after our workout we saw Another Broken Egg Cafe.
Christy from AlpharettaMoms.com told us she loves their OTP location in Alpharetta, so we decided to check it out. We also found out that PURE Barre has a John’s Creek location, so our Bordering The Perimeter day could have been OTP after all!
In a charming French country atmosphere that was first created with the original Broken Egg Cafe in Louisiana, this was the perfect restaurant to visit and enjoy breakfast food. With so many choices (more than 100) you can have breakfast, lunch or brunch! The restaurant is open daily from 7am to 2pm.
Owner/Founder Ron Green’s story and vision statement is a great tale of entrepreneurship and dreams. At 44, he had a mid-life “clarity” moment — he wanted to escape corporate life and be in charge of his destiny. He couldn’t find any restaurants that had ambiance, creative food, and excellent service. So he ventured into the breakfast business with the motto, “Nothing short of right is right!” After breaking 1,400 eggs a week, he realized he was creating something “egg-stroidenery,” and so he grew his locations and franchises. Many Scoopers may have dined at his Destin, Florida locations, where he is well established.
We devoured a yummy skillet and an omelet during our visit. Make sure you check out the menu, they have gluten free and vegetarian options, signature items like shrimp and grits, and original items like the Hey Lucy or Floridian omelet. They also have special house made items like chorizo and corned beef hash. So, even if it’s noon, go enjoy the breakfast food and tell them Scoop sent you!
