paper2I had always prided myself on exposing my kids to art. My oldest child ended up going to Savannah College of Art and Design, so I felt like I’d done a good job! Now, I am wishing my kids were still itty-bitties and that they could take classes at Paper.Scissors.Cake. It’s just not fair — there are always so many new and exciting things for kids each year!

Paper.Scissors.Cake is a children’s art school and party center. The owner, Adria, has been passionate about teaching art to children for several years, and decided last year to take a chance and open her studio to focus on her love of art full time. Her love of art and children is apparent as soon as a little one comes strolling in the door.

We stopped in to visit Paper.Scissors.Cake sans children, and were so smitten with the tykes that came into “open studio” while we were there. We were a bit jealous of the free spirited hour they had ahead of them!

paper3The studio has drawer after drawer full of art supplies; from beads, to paints, to glitter, to foam. You name it, it’s there! As a parent, this would be a dream come true: to let your child create art while not having to worry about stains on the table or glitter in the carpet.

Paper.Scissors.Cake offers a schedule of classes, open studio time for free play and creating, and parties. She also offers group events — and she can even come to you!

The themes change all of the time, so no getting bored at Paper.Scissors.Cake! It is the perfect outlet for your creative child, or to introduce your little one to art. Stop by and try it yourself! And tell them Scoop sent you.

Paper.Scissors.Cake is located at 6687 Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock, GA.
